Happy Wednesday everyone! The calendar is fast approaching Halloween and the festivities have already begun spreading throughout the city of Nashville. This spooky season is the perfect time to try something new to get into the Halloween spirit. Several hotels across Nashville have started a new trend of turning their bars into holiday pop ups throughout the year. This year several of them are converting their bars into Halloween pop up bars reflecting various popular Halloween movies. This is a perfect opportunity to try a new Nashville trend, get into the spooky spirit, and see some popular hotels around town. It’s the perfect date night idea, a way to meet new Nashville friends, or a new fun thing to get out on the town and do with your friends. That is exactly what my friends and I did when we went to check out these super cute Halloween pop ups. The two pop ups that I will be highlighting in this post are the BeetleBar and Hocus Pocus Themed Bar.

The BeetleBar is located at the Parlour Bar located in the Dream Nashville hotel. You can expect a tribute to the classic film Beetlejuice, themed décor, cocktails inspired by the movie, and specialty menu items. The entrance to the bar is a huge ghoul cutout, pictured above, which allows you to really feel as though you are entering into the movie itself.

Upon entering you are immediately met by all the Beetlejuice themed décor including scenes from the movie playing above the bar. The bar is open Monday through Wednesday 4PM until 12AM, Thursday 4PM until 1AM, Friday and Saturday 12PM until 1AM, and Sunday 12PM until 12AM with creepy cocktails and eerily delicious eats. I would highly recommend the Beetle Juice Cocktail, which contains Grey Goose La Poire, lime, pineapple, ginger, cotton candy, and light up ice cubes. It is a must order and is pictured below. The Knock Three Times is also a popular choice complete with Lunazul tequila, ginger, lime and blood orange. Another hit on the menu is the Adam’s Hot Chicken Sandwich which is hot chicken, slaw and black buns.

No reservations are required for the BeetleBar, and walk-ins are welcome. The pop up bar will be open through the first week of November. The BeetleBar is open to all ages, but will ID to serve alcoholic beverages. They have valet parking available, but there is also plenty of street parking and parking garages nearby. Don’t forget to take advantage of all the amazing backdrops before you leave which are perfect for capturing all your eerie memories.

The Hocus Pocus Themed Bar is located at Bar TENN in the Holston House hotel. You can expect to see nods to the classic film Hocus Pocus at every turn, unique treats, fun cocktails, and plenty of photo opportunities. The elaborate pumpkin filled entrance, pictured below, will fill you with the Halloween spirit from the second you walk through the door.

Once you enter the bar, it is Hocus Pocus inspired at every turn. From candlesticks hanging from the ceiling to an “I Put a Spell on You” photo opportunity, you will feel the essence of the movie throughout the entire bar. The Hocus Pocus Themed Bar is open daily from 4PM until 11PM with Happy Hour being Monday through Wednesday from 4PM until 7PM featuring $20 drinks and bites special with no reservations required. If you attend Thursday through Saturday from 5PM until 8PM you may be lucky enough to see some guest performances from the Sanderson sisters, and this will require reservation for non-hotel guests. This pop up will be open through Halloween night, and this bar is strictly for guests 21+.

I would highly recommend the cocktail called “Sanderson’s Brew,” pictured below, which is made with cointreau and tart peach served in super cute skull glasses. This is the perfect tasty and aesthetic drink to put you in the Halloween spirit. The bratwurst in a blanket, deviled eggs, and pretzel with pimento cheese were also huge hits that I would suggest trying.

Both of these pop up bars were beyond adorable, spooky festive, and fun. I would highly recommend checking both of them out this Halloween season. Feel free to comment below if you attend these and I would love to know how you liked them. As always please click Follow Me to subscribe to my blog so you never miss a post!

Happy Halloween friends!

Love,

Kennedy
